Joyous Christmas to you and yours if you are celebrating this holiday…

Happy wonderful day to you and yours if you are going about your moments as a regular Saturday…

The moment of right now is always full of love and hope…full of the right to live that and feel it…thought by thought…

Yet when there is a holiday, it nudges one to pause a bit, doesn’t it, to reflect on the why…and to enlarge a bit more of the significance and meaning of that celebration….

As I was considering what I would post this day, I wanted to write something about the meaning of the day without too much retelling of Bible stories or childhood past-times, though I treasure both.

So to keep it simple but full of the right now, I’m offering a poem I adore, by adored author, Mary Baker Eddy…

It’s her poem entitled “Christmas Morn”….

“Blest Christmas Morn, though murky clouds

Pursue thy way,

Thy light was born where storm enshrouds

Nor dawn nor day!

Dear Christ, forever here and near,

No cradle song,

No natal hour and mother’s tear,

To thee belong.

Thou God-idea, Life-encrowned,

The Bethlehem babe–

Beloved, replete, by flesh embound–

Was but thy shade!

Thou gentle beam of living Love,

And deathless Life!

Truth infinite,–so far above

All mortal strife,

Or cruel creed, or earth-born taint:

Fill us today

With all thou art–be thou our saint,

Our stay, alway.”

This year has found me comprehending even more of a glimpse of this ‘gentle beam of living love’

and it’s my hope that whether you’re surrounded by several or off on your own — in whatever way you are cherishing your day, that you feel the infinite–meaning unerring, uninterrupted, overflowing, abundant love that IS…and that you allow yourself in your words, actions, behavior to embody this love with no limits….

perhaps you will say hello to a new neighbor

perhaps you will smile at the gas clerk

perhaps you will wink at a baby

perhaps you will kiss the winter snowflake back as it touches your cheek…

perhaps you will treasure the precious gift of the right now moment to sculpt what you experience with how you think…

In whatever way you choose to feel the fullness, nowness, ever-ness of love, make it big and bold and not just about this day, but about always…..

To me that is truly the message of this Christ-ness….this NOW and EVER-MORE -ness of abounding abiding abundant love…..

Happy happy happy day to you and yours…..

Hugs…..til the next keepsake 🙂 🙂
