A hunk of clay we mold and then ~
roll up into a ball again…
A line of text we type and then ~
delete a character or two or ten…
The millions of mornings we awake ready to embrace ~
The millions of midnights we feel so far from grace…
Always the begin again…
Always the if not now, then when…
Ever striving to edit our story ~
Ever yearning to be free of fear’s history…
Yet…
What if it isn’t about sizing up the day ~
believing we could begin tomorrow a new way?
What if in the right now big looming heavies …
We can chisel away fear’s wannabees?
What if its never about a collection of hours or days
but millions of moments allowing Love’s nudge have her (or his) say?
What if right this second we choose to heed this nudge ~
and stand with conviction of its forever always and constant hug?
Minimally this could make us stop listening to regret, guilt, or muck from our past…
and stop apologizing for not feeling honest living a “dutiful daughter’s” (or son’s) dance.
Instead, we could zero into the wonder and love of this right now second.
and train thought to stay there, and evolve the beauty, wholeness, and wonder of this moment.
Imagine the painting we could paint,
the sculpture we could sculpt
the lyrics we could pen
if we allowed ourselves heed Love’s nudge, not ‘begin again.’
Imagine that…and then take one step.
and another.
and another.
Allowed to be love
allowed to live those inklings.
Now…
Always…
Forever heeding…
Love’s nudges…
