A favorite author, Mary Baker Eddy, begins her book Science and Health with a single profound statement:
“To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings.”
This is my hope for all on this the first day of 2011, or as my sister giddily reminded me moments ago: 1 – 1 – 11.
To lean on that which is infinite, that which sustains is surely no small undertaking.
It invites complete understanding of that which sustains.
It nudges pondering the meaning of infinite….the possibility that good is, endures, and is now and evermore.
And the promise that the right now is all that will ever matter…the where thought is.
Here’s to a bounty of right nows that find all of us standing, trusting, knowing we are not meandering around but grounded, fully adored and cared for, ever protected and safe, and always always loved.
