Hey to all….hope you are well.
Keep thinking I want to give a bit more visual on how my posts are starting to shape themselves. And also I seek to know your feedback on topics of interest to you. My goal is evermore to evolve a conversation with this blog.
Here’s some standards you’ll continue to find each week:
- Posts on evolving ourselves including being true to you and how, how to think your way to serenity moment to moment.
- Posts about Tre’s Tech Tips, things I’m teaching myself online that to me are vital in one’s evolving a practical web presence.
- In preparation for Ada Lovelace Day, I’ll post weekly my interviews of “Women who Tech” because I find deep value in sharing stories of women who inspire me and who you should know about. In the near future, hope to offer a segment on men as well.
- Between now and Thursday, expect to see coverage on Twestival.com, an unprecedented global fundraiser for Charity:Water that has been promoted exclusively via social media February 12, 2009.
- Posts offering my perspective on global events/holidays. For example, this week, I’ll offer some thoughts on Love in relation to Valentine’s week and because it’s a subject we don’t talk up enough.
On other thoughts 🙂 I just walked Berkeley during a beautiful sunset on an unseasonably warm night in Boston. The warmth always revs me up and gives me hope for the moment. And in my hope for the moment, I am excited about what I see evolving on the web and in my own use of social media: lots of microblogging, microsharing, lots of conversations and friending and building communities.
So in that spirit, I’m turning to you the reader and seeking your opinions:
Would you engage more with this blog if there was a way to have conversations? more than just the comments? I’d love to hear your thoughts on community building.
Would it be helpful for you, or do you think you’d like to see, a feature that allows folks who leave comments to talk amidst each other? like having a discussion online so that the blog isn’t just about a discussion between me the blogger and you the reader?
I’m curious what you think…think about the blogs you read and the ones you go back to time and again. Why? Beyond the obvious insightful content that you want to read, what else keeps you comin’ back?
I’m toying with adding a feature called yonkly that would allow you to discuss back and forth with each other as readers. My first read of it though made it seem I have to create a whole nother site. Not sure I want to do that yet.
Also toying with vlogging, or video blogging because I have a pretty strong voice and I’m a visual learner. I learn best by seeing and doing vs just reading. How bout you?
Right now, I receive alerts when someone leaves a comment and then I can write back. But that dialogue remains between the 2 of us unless other readers jump in.
So leave your 2cents.
Looking forward to a great week where social media history is made at twestival.com. Hope you go to a twestival. Be sure to comment here if you plan to go and afterwards what you thought.
Keep your eye on your goals, whatever they may be, and remember to know moment to moment, you are progressing. Take moments to hug yourself for your progress, for your desire to grow, for your willingness to think out of the box and try new things. But remember to be gentle on your heart and tender with your footsteps.
I have to learn this and relearn this because each week I want to peak Mt. Everest in my work. 🙂 Truly.
Til next post, be well and so much joy to each of you.
Tre 😉

IZEA also has a Chat widget for blogs called Cloudshout, you can check it out at http://cloudshout.com/. When you are logged in here, you appear as online, others can chat with you. I'll be adding it to Table for Five once I get a sidebar problem worked out.
