Permission…

Doth a flower ask “am I allowed to bloom?”

a ray of light wonder “is my shine too soon?”

Does a stream inquire “how far can I flow?”

or a rainbow wonder “what colors may I  glow?”

~~~~~~
Does a tree ask “might I lean this way?”
or a wind consider “will I whirl today?”
Does a strand of grass ponder “may I rise this high?”
or a rain droplet fear “where will I go when I leave the sky?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And what of each one of us ….

Do we doubt our innermost yearnings with “am I really allowed to…

~ embrace without judgment…

~ respect without condition…

~ celebrate without cause…

~ simply  L O V E  because…”

I wonder how much more I would soar

if I fully and finally squelched the second guesser’s roar…..

But I’m sure a tryin….;)

And the more I do…

the more I realize she is always a lyin’

’bout potential and ability and protocol and what’s expected.

In fact the truer I am with seemless flow being

I embrace what she barks I ought to have dreaded…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So here’s to giving ourselves that gentle nudge to say yes…
to break free from outmoded ways, the tendency to doubt or second guess…
we’re meant to flow…and rise…and dance and soar…
and be and exude the love we’re about…forevermore ~ ~ ~
