Dear Dadddy Love within,
I’m sitting here cherishing all the folks who’ve fathered my footsteps and my heart is going out to them…
I’ve been so blessed with a wonderful dad, a stepdad, a coupla grandfathers and stepgrandfathers an uncle and more…many men have fathered my footsteps. and many women have too.
And as I feel gratitude for their individual unique expressions of love and care….I cant help but pause to thank you, Daddy-Love within, what I’ve leaned on most of all.
Yours prolly is the only unconditional love I’ve ever known.
Thank you…for loving me.
Thank you for being there constantly.
You are the source I turn to for direction, the constant sense of guiding that nudges me.
You ground each moment and assure me of safety.
You hold me when I feel like I’m falling.
You genuinely say no when I’m walking off a cliff.
You nod when I don’t feel allowed or able.
You insist on stopping me when I’m about to steamroll footsteps to get something done.
You’re always there … as that inner voice of Principal steering me, directing me, encouraging me, insisting ability, no excuses.
Knowing you’re there 24/7?
…has helped me — in the dark moments of the pulls of alone –to feel held, loved and at home.
…has supported me when I feel I’ve messed up to know it’s impossible to disappoint.
…has reminded me time and again if I go deep within and listen and heed you I’m doing fine.
…has healed me whether I’m physically emotionally or financially ill.
Thank you for loving me, even when I’ve not listened.
Thank you for steering me again and again, even when I’ve blown you off.
Thank you for reminding me when it all feels too hard that this is fear-speak and in your Love I can’t help but press on.
Thank you for loving me anyway.
Father’s Day is every hour and your love the only power.
May I keep on abiding therein and heeding your nudge.
Your grateful, humbled daughter,
Tre ~

Hello friend-reader,
Thanks so much for taking a few moments of your now to read this letter to Daddy Love-within.
What has helped me time and again understand more of my relationship to this Love that is Father and Mother of us all, which has healed me of fear, helped me feel 24/7 direction, and given me a sense of at – one instead of alone or on my own, is how I’ve come to understand the nature of how Love loves…
And one of the tools I use to help me feel a palpable, tangible sense of that constant Love is what Mary Baker Eddy describes as the “spiritual sense” of the Lord’s prayer which I’ve typed out below.
“Our Father, which art in heaven….
Our Father – Mother God, all harmonious ”
Hallowed be thy name
Adorable one
Thy kingdom come…
Thy kingdom is come thou art ever present
Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven
Enable us to know as in heaven so on earth God is omnipotent supreme
Give us this day our daily bread
Give us grace for today; feed the famished affections;
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
And Love is reflected in love;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
And God leadeth us not into temptation but delivereth us from sin, disease, and death.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
For God is infinite, all power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All.
(you can find this spiritual sense in its context on pgs 16-17 of Eddy’s Science and Health, p.16-17)
If you wanna feel a more pertual sense of love and heal a sense of alone, if you just wanna stop feeling fear constantly and gain a deeper connection with the Love that is steering you and directing each moment, I so welcome hearing from you and possibly working together.
