You know the constant murmurings and babblings and sometimes scoldings or sometimes condemnings that go on in thought, whether ‘I shoulda known better” or as harsh as “you stupid idiot!” ?

What if, for one day, or better still, just a 4 hour span in one day, you really concentrated on nurturing yourself and letting go the condemning scolding self babble?

What if instead, when you fumble, you pick yourself up with tender hugs and gentle kisses as you would a toddler first learning to walk. Surely you wouldn’t banish or screech or yell at a tumbling toddler. Surley you would scoop up him/her and bathe him/her in soothing comfort.

There’s a great need to nurture the who you are, the who I am….how can we give it to one another if we do not give it to ourselves?

Be gentle with yourself for a 4 hour span today..or tomorrow…or whenever you read this post.

Treat the toddler you with deep compassion and tenderness.

You live to be authentic and reflect what is true.

Much has acculturated each of us to play a competitive accusatory never ending uphill race against an unattainable standard.

Be gentle.

You are striving.

That is so enough.

Love the you you are and all you are striving to be.
