We often know what they tend to do
From the moment we learn how to tie a shoe
We discover they praise the little things
Like birthdays graduations and job titles and engagement rings
And yet they never seem to celebrate
Our inner victories
that may well find us
Shedding cocoons and becoming a whole new self
Or wedding our now steada running away
Or living wholeness steada waiting for “when that happens” someday
And here’s the thing no one teaches us
We don’t have to wait for anyone else to make a fuss
We are allowed to cherish, celebrate and even wow
Over each and every personal triumph overcoming fear and exuding being in this now…
It’s true: traditions and values inspire
many to invest
But nothing–no biggie huge celebration– will ever replace that inner victory of mastering fear and creating conditions of calm knowing and standing in our thought nest.
Evolving spiritual selfhood may not in our time be the focus of traditions
Yet we each must in our own way acknowledge the rooting and grounding of our convictions…
So tender heart and kindred friend of Soul that we are
Stop at nothing to track each little victory of living courage you’ve done thus far
These “first footsteps” of overcoming fear track your precious true story of living Love in all it’s glory.
Methinks you will come to see a new view of you
And in time even write about it as a record of the thriving in your now new.
Here’s to celebrating each and every inner nidge heeded and fear squelched with each step. 🙂

Take some moments today in whatever way, think of one time you acted on courage and blazed through fear….
No doing of this is too small ever.
