Sorting the linens…shedding the seem

What is womanhood to you?

Where to you look to when aspiring to be your true?

A poem from my heart to yours…as I continue sculpting womanhood…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Stock the linens
then the pantry
be sure there’s plenty
for all who will be coming
you know their tastes
you know what they like
fill the cupboards as they will stay the night…”
Oh one of the many ways to seem
a prepared woman with a home overflowing
ready
willing
open heart
open door
keeping the pantry and closets full the way for sure
or is it
or was it
or did it need to be
and what is my womanhood if i only keep enough for…me?
the hours spent wondering how many towels to keep
the years spent looking for a place that would be big enough
how can you show a heart overflowing
with welcoming openness and prepared for all with fresh linens
well that effort surely has been and is what many women cherish in their home
surely was a vital value for beloved grandmothers
but for me
in the honest living and being that i must
I’ll never forget the day I stood infront of the linen closet
and looked at the props the shelves fully stocked
of towels and washcloths and lotions they loved
cept none of them visited though i so hoped they would
others came surely but not those who i stocked the closets for
i remember the day i gave my heart permission
to stop maintaining a quantity of things for those visitors
and i remember really wrestling with ‘what will they use’ and then an angel message came “luvbug take care of your womanhood”
and towel by towel i made a basket then probably ten
and filled it up with everything i’d been saving for them
and off to the women’s shelter did i go
offering fresh linens unused and donating them with love.
and many a closet have I used since
and many more will I surely stock again
but now days not for what may be
but what is happening
and this is something we each must figure out
who we are living for
our sense of oneness with Love
or another several others’ expectations
oh these lessons are mighty and not able to be contained in a single poem
but womanhood is a forever sculpture of right now completeness
And so as you fold and iron the linens today
and as you restock the closet in hope for their visit someday
if you find yourself knowing yes indeed they will be used then keep them
but if these linens represent hopeful somedays you may want to rethink them
What’s being used now
What’s being cherished and adored
What says LOVE to you
Let that stay overflow
What you’re saving for that hope they show up
Well, it just may be too much taking up space in your precious thought closet
Adore the hope of housing them when they do
And if it was necessary you could get things for them too
More than likely tho your shelves could be stocked for you
Or even a possibility this space is no longer serving you
Be so honest
Be so wise
Embrace now fullness
Not someday when in hopes something better out there lies
Maybe they’ll visit but likely they wont
Maybe the keeping of linens was really another phenomenal woman’s job
Let your heart become uncluttered
Let your things reflect your now
Live in this right now promise
Loved whole and complete and how!
My heart to yours,
Tre
