The wink within

Question Mark

we live our question “am i doing it right”

beneath our surface confidence seeming

beneath our professing here is what i’m doing

beneath our falling apart hiding…

we live it appearing altogether

we live it when clearly struggling

we are ever living the question: am i doing life right?

and we show up with the best of intentions…

and we nod with others who seem as if they’ve figured it out…

and we inwardly wonder if that isn’t just their stage now…

and maybe for a time we follow their walk…

until we realize those steps are theirs…

we must figure out ours…

ever asking the question ‘am i doing this right?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
what if for a moment we adore that we’re asking?
what if for a moment we see that asking the question and listening for how it nudges us IS the ‘doing it right?’ we seek?
the innocence that propels the question
…the courage to ask it
…the honesty that quest discloses
no matter if its ever voiced…..
we hear it within
and that clarity, courage and certainty of continuing to search for the answer…..
all of that intention is powerful.
assured hope of finding answers…
and conviction of finding source…
YES! it’s not just a black hole abyss search …..yearning for the answer but never feeling much closer…
but it is a coming home and searching there
amidst our within
and seeing that each moment thought looks there,
we find a wink within…
the answer comes each moment…
… to the question of ‘how?’
…to the longing ‘am i”
…to the yearning “this okay?”
the map is here….for the how, this moment,…here this way…
the wink within
And so what maybe we once thought was a seeking a path toward that place
or looking for others to give us thumbs up and keep on in your race….
or looking for other evidence yeah you that’s it….
we pause…..
For that wink within IS our gentle nudge to be…this moment…this way.
Love is right here holding…showing….’this step…now…today’
How are you sifting and seeing the wink within?
What works for you?
“Desire is prayer and no loss can occur from trusting god with our desires that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and deeds.”
Mary Baker Eddy, from her chapter Prayer, in her Science and Health
