What would let you say yes I can sit still and listen to…you?

Hey friend,

Tre here. Sending you smiles of warmth from emerging spring of New England.

I just got home a few weeks ago from visiting where I’m from in Miami and taking some much needed refueling time with mom.

It’s a setting that hugs me everywhere I go, as home does.

But as yet I can’t quite justify basing from that city that I love.

I have work still that draws me to dig deeper in my New England base….more on that in months to come…

But only in deeply deeply honestly searching my heart and asking “Tre Tre, what do you know you must do?” have I resolved to not pack up and head south.

Really tough decision in ways.

Really simple in others.

But regardless of that question or my decision for now, the part that matters most to me that I share here with you is this:

the willingness to sit still with my thoughts and ask the question and allow myself to hear and to own the answer.

It demands a willingness to sit still with my thoughts.

It demands asking my heart what I want.

It insists on the courage to sit still and listen to what I hear.

It welcomes the authority to trust and own what I hear.

Not run from what I hear.

Not ask why me.

Not avoid what I hear.

But rather hear and hold and eventually heed what I hear.

It invites wisdom that will know what I need to go the distance if you will of achieving a goal.

Okay…..sooo….why open up and share this way?

Well, I’m constantly wondering how I can help the next person steady on with his or her endeavor to be true to his or her heart….to really hear what is that inner nudge so one can act on what is heard.

So here’s a question for you:

What would allow you to say, “yes … I can…give myself permission” ?

Yes I can give myself permission…

to sit still …

to listen to my innermost thoughts….

to allow myself to hear them….

to sift whatever I need to and hold whatever I need to….

to simply be with my thoughts and listen to them.

to allow myself to hear….

to allow myself to own my inklings?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know.
It may sound extraordinarily tough.
Or it may sound oober basic.
Or it may sound impossible.
Or maybe you wonder why what’s the point.
Well here’s the thing: no matter what stage in my journey, giving myself permission to sit still and listen to my innermost thoughts has made all the difference.
It’s made me stop, get off the treadmill of life, if you will and stand still.
And sometimes that standing still has let me see better what’s working and what’s not working.
And I’m sure that’s why I’ve avoided standing still at other times.
Because maybe I don’t wanna see really what’s not working.
Deep honesty begs all of us look at our lives and see what we can do to shift our thoughts and actions to be more true to our hearts.
It just does.
So back to my question: what would help you give yourself permission to sit still and listen to your thoughts?
I’m here to help you say yes you are allowed to give this to yourself.
Let me know how more I can help, kay?
Here’s to the sitting still and listening.
And being willing to.
Big hug.
Tre ~
